How is my payment applied?
It depends on when you made your drawdown.
Drawdowns made on or after September 23, 2026
Your payment is applied to the installments you selected in your payment instruction. If the amount you transfer matches your instruction, it’s applied automatically.
Example:
You have two drawdowns and generate a payment instruction for installment 1 of each:
- Drawdown A, installment 1: $20 USD
- Drawdown B, installment 1: $40 USD
- Amount to transfer: $60 USD
Once we receive your $60 USD transfer, both installments are paid.
What if I transfer without an instruction or a different amount?
Your payment is applied:
- First to overdue installments.
- Then to the installments due soonest.
⚠️ In this case, the payment isn’t applied automatically and may take longer. That’s why we recommend always generating your payment instruction before you transfer.
Drawdowns made before September 23, 2026
Your payment is applied in this order:
- First to the accrued interest of the next installment due.
- The rest goes to principal.
The system then recalculates your upcoming installments based on the new balance.
Example:
You make a payment of $10,000 USD and you have $1,000 USD in pending interest at that point:
- $1,000 USD goes to interest first.
- $9,000 USD reduces your principal.
After this adjustment, your upcoming installments are recalculated based on the new principal, so you pay less interest going forward.
